Wednesday, Snow Day #2

For the second snow day, we planned to go out to play. This would be Haylie's first experience in the snow. Getting ready to go out lasted longer than Haylie actually playing. It took a very long time to get all three dressed and then again, when Haylie decided to start taking off the hat, socks and gloves. We finally made it and they had so much fun!! It was so cold, so Haylie didn't last but a few minutes. She got to take a few pictures and then started removing her gloves because they were covered in snow. We went in and let the big girls play. Morgan and Brooke started a snowman and ran around the house. They slid down the snow-covered slide and just really enjoyed themselves. I had to call them in because their little noses were red. Hot chocolate always does the trick!! Lots of marshmallows too!!

Now, these are snow angels!

They weren't the only ones having fun as you can see from the picture of Gretta and Carlie Sue. Gretta loved the snow. The first day, she ran out and zipped all around. She came in with it all over her and her nose. Just like a little kid!

Then, that afternoon, we worked on Valentine's Day cards. It's fun to let the girls create their own (and provides a craft on days with little to do!). They took boxes of Valentine's, cut out pictures, and glued them onto cardstock. It was fun and they did a great job! The other picture is of magnetix.

Here's what things looked like here:
